COMPANY HISTORY

SENCO CONSTRUCTION INC. is an Illinois Corporation based in Robinson, Illinois, incorporated in 1994 and began business on February 1, 1995. SENCO is a privately held corporation. 

SENCO was awarded VPP Star status by OSHA in 2006. SENCO was the first contractor in Illinois to achieve OSHA’s highest safety and health rating.

SENCO offers a broad line of services for new construction and plant maintenance.  Over 30 years of experience includes site work, concrete installation, structural steel, rigging  rental, critical lift planning, and crane services of all types. As a union contractor signatory with nine different crafts SENCO offers a wide variety of manpower options as well as a large inventory of heavy construction equipment.  A maintenance shop is on-site and a full time staff is employed for equipment service.

SENCO CONSTRUCTION maintains a rigid safety environment.  The safety division employs a full time Safety Superintendent, Safety Technicians, and Medical Technicians.  SENCO offers a variety of employee screenings including instant drug screening, DISA, Audiometric, PFT and Fit testing.

SENEX X-RAY COMPANY, a division of SENCO CONSTRUCTION offers a wide range of non-destructive inspection services including computer radiography, industrial radiography, ultrasound testing, die penetrate testing, and magnetic particle testing.  Senex also has AWS-CWI’s to complete a total welding inspection service.

Safety and Community Awards and Involvement:

• In 2006 became an original participant of Marathon Illinois Refining Division Behavior Based Safety Contractor Advisory Panel.
• Awarded Robinson Chamber of Commerce 2006 Outstanding Business Award
• Awarded 2007 Business of the Year by Crawford County Shrine Club. 
• Co-founded Crawford County Development committee for Industrial, Safety and Education.  A committee benefitting the industrial arts departments of local high schools.
• National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators - Committed to Crane Safety Employer since 2013
